Rescheduling: If there are dangerous weather conditions at the time of the charter, all previously received and cleared payments may be reapplied at no additional cost with a complimentary rescheduling of the charter departure time or date.

Policy on Cancellations for Non-Holidays
You can cancel up to 48 working hours before your charter if your vessel is under 70 feet. Email notifications are allowed in lieu of written notice. Payments made will be refunded less a 10% merchant processing and administrative fee if you cancel less than 48 working hours before your charter departure time. The complete charter cost will be charged and is non-refundable if you cancel less than 48 business hours before your scheduled departure time, unless certain restrictions apply.

Please read on for a list of day charter hazardous weather and other cancelable situations.
You may cancel up to 72 business hours before your charter for vessels between 70 and 100 feet. Email notifications are allowed in lieu of written notice. Payments paid will be refunded less a 10% merchant processing and administrative fee if you cancel less than 72 working hours before your charter departure time. Any payments made will not be reimbursed if you cancel less than 72 hours before your scheduled departure time, and the entire charter amount will be charged unless specific circumstances are met. Please read on for a list of day charter hazardous weather and other cancelable situations.
For ships 100 feet and up, you have up to five business days to change your mind. Email notifications are allowed in lieu of written notice. Payments will be refunded less a 10% merchant processing and administrative fee if you cancel less than five working days before your charter departure time. Any payments made will not be reimbursed if you cancel fewer than five working days before your scheduled departure, and the entire charter amount will be charged unless specific circumstances are met. Please read on for a list of day charter hazardous weather and other cancelable situations.
All catering orders are non-refundable if canceled less than 36 hours before your departure date due to the perishable nature of food items.
Payments for yacht charter reservations or water sport add-on packages are used for office expenses, vessel reservations, hiring of elected crew members, purchasing supplies, and other chores related to yacht charters. Your deposit removes the yacht from inventory and stops other customers from making reservations. For cruising, larger vessels need more planning and preparation than smaller ones. With the exception of day charter hazardous weather, cancellable conditions, or the aforementioned hourly advance written notice depending on the size of your charter vessel, all payments paid are not refundable.

Policies for New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day cancellations and payments
If written notice of cancellation is received seven business days before the vessel’s scheduled departure time and date (email is acceptable), all payments—except catering—will be refunded. Refund requests submitted seven business days before the scheduled departure date and time are subject to a 10% of the total amount paid merchant processing and administrative fee. With the exception of day charter hazardous weather and below specified cancellable conditions, all monies paid are nonrefundable if the reservation is cancelled less than 7 working days before the departure date and time. If you cancel your charter fewer than 7 business days before the scheduled departure, the full charter cost will be charged, and there is no return unless day charter hazardous weather or one of the other criteria specified below apply at the time of departure. Booking cancellation and loss of any monies made will occur if your charter balance is not paid in full seven working days prior to your departure date and time. If the departure period is more than seven business days away, the charterer may request revisions to the reservations or modifications to the charter. The management of the charter must accept any adjustments, requests, and alterations; the crew is not permitted to alter the itinerary of the charter. When booking catering, you must pay in full and there is no return if you cancel fewer than seven working days before your departure date. A dependable third-party independent vendor handles the catering.

Policies for regular payments and non-holidays
Your final bill may be paid in full before you depart using the credit or debit card on file. Charters may be canceled for non-payment prior to departure if there is no current card on file. In the event of a charterer “no show” or failure to furnish payment in full outside of any of the windows for the cancellation policy, any unpaid balances may be collected using the debit card on file.
On the day of your charter, before onboard your charter yacht, you must have both your matching ID and the active credit card used to make the booking available for staff verification.

      • Bookings that total more than $3,000 must be paid in full via wire transfer, bank transfer, or PayPal.

      • Unless you provide a different method of payment before the payment deadline for your vessel, the card on file will be used to make the final payment before your departure if the total cost of your booking is less than $3,000 overall.

      • Payment must be done via zelle, wire transfer, or bank transfer for any reservations made with less than 24 hours to departure. When making a reservation with less than 24 hours to departure, credit cards are not allowed.

      • Payment must be made in full 48 business hours before your departure date for vessels under 70 feet. The charter will be canceled and the deposit lost if the balance is not paid in full 48 business hours prior to your departure date.

      • Payment must be made in full 72 business hours before your departure date for vessels between 70 and 100 feet. The booking will be canceled and the deposit lost if the balance is not paid in full 72 business hours before your departure date.

      • Full payment must be paid 5 business days before your departure date for vessels 100 feet or greater. Booking cancellation and loss of any payments made will occur if your balance is not paid in full five working days before your departure date. • Multi-day term charters and charters on any vessel with a balance greater than $10,000 may need a special deposit structure to guarantee the reservation, which may only be made by wire transfer or bank transfer. Five working days before the ship’s departure, all outstanding balances must be paid in full. The booking will be canceled and all monies made forfeited if the balance is not paid in full five business days before the departure date.

      • We do not accept split payments from several credit cards belonging to the same individual or from different parties. One principal charter visitor must make all credit card payments using just one credit card.

      • Card number, expiration date, CVC code, and name of authorized card holder must be displayed on card used and brought in person the day of your charter to board your charter vessel. We do not accept virtual credit cards that do not display card information.

      • Prepaid credit cards are not accepted here.
Money orders and checks are not accepted by us.

      • A higher security deposit for potential damage may be needed for some yachts. After the charter staff has confirmed that there has been no damage to the vessel, its equipment, or its systems, the security deposit is entirely returned if neither you nor your guests cause any damages during the charter.

      • Hazardous weather conditions for day charters (not applicable to multi-day charters):

      • At the moment of departure, hazardous weather conditions must exist.

      • Storms with an epicenter within five miles of yacht dock that fit into any of the conditions listed below.

      • Storms that have a direct impact on inland waters.

      • Storms that are classified as “hazardous” and are expected to affect inland waterways for more than four hours.

      • Warnings were issued for area inland waters with gusts greater than 30 mph and/or wave heights greater than 3 feet.
        Additional Terminable Conditions

      • “Unforeseen circumstances” (such as hospitalization or a death in the close family). Deposit reimbursement requires medical documentation in the form of a certificate or doctor’s report.

    Conditions for non-cancellation:

      • Sporadic showers, cloudy skies, or a predicted “chance of rain” are not regarded as weather-related cancellations. News reports or media coverage that emphasize a current event or sensationalize regional events with regard to the weather, tourism dangers, medical concerns, or other travel-related “warnings” that are not actual state or federal travel prohibitions are not regarded as cancellable circumstances.

      • Processing fees for refunds: In the case that day charters are cancelled due to inclement weather and rescheduling is not an option, money made will be refunded less a 10% merchant processing and administrative fee.

      • Orders for catering and food:
Each charter requires a minimum purchase of two plates. Less than two plates in an order will result in cancellation. Prior to your departure date, all catering orders must be placed at least 36 hours in advance. Catering orders are non-refundable if cancelled less than 36 hours before your departure date due to the perishable nature of food. Additional cancellation and refund catering restrictions may apply during holiday charter periods. Given that catering is prepared at a facility that occasionally also processes food containing milk, eggs, almonds, and shellfish, Legacy Estate Rentals LLC is not responsible for any allergies or unfavorable responses to it. A third-party provider prepares and offers all catering and meals.

      • Minimum Gratuity Requirements: The charterer agrees to pay the crew a minimum gratuity of 15% of the retail price of the vessel charter.

      • Sale of Charter Vessels or Unexpected Unavailability of Vessel Inventory: Legacy Estate Rentals LLC will make an effort to identify a comparable substitute option to satisfy the charterer’s booking in the event that a charter vessel is sold, destroyed, or otherwise inoperable. The charterer is responsible for any price difference or fluctuations that may result from selecting another, more expensive vessel as a replacement option to their original booking. Alternative vessel options may be available that are more expensive than the charterer’s original vessel booking; these options are not to be considered complimentary upgrades. Legacy Estate Rentals LLC retains the right to cancel the charterer’s booking and issue a refund if a substitute vessel is not available or reachable, satisfying Legacy Estate Rentals LLC’s commitments to the charterer.
